かつて日本人が様々な外来文化を取り入れながらも独自の文化を形成したスタイルを、自らの絵画表現に照らし合わせて描く鈴木一世。

Issei Suzuki’s paintings depict the style in which Japanese people once formed their own culture while adopting various foreign cultures, in light of her own painting expression.
Suzuki’s works are highly acclaimed across generations for their attention to curves, exquisite combination of vivid colors, various styles of painting, and layers of expression, as well as for their depiction of culture and social thought.
